but does not allow Telnet access (shell logins) to the servers.
A single POP-accessible mailbox
is provided for the account, and you may
use catch-all forwarding for this account's mail.
Note that this is the type
of account that many of our competitors are selling for $20/month or more,
and they don't offer anything better.
If you'll be doing a reasonable amount of maintenance or design,
consider getting a Basic Account
with Telnet access for only $4/month more.

well as FTP. It provides the same capacity as the
FTP Account,
but also allows Telnet access (shell logins) to the servers.
A single POP-accessible mailbox
is provided for the account, and you may
use catch-all or advanced forwarding options for this account's mail.
"Isn't Telnet access a security problem?"
This is a very common excuse given by less sophisticated providers.
However, Telnet is not inherently any less secure than other methods of
updating your Web site, especially if the operating system is properly
secured. Also, we support SSH for secure, encrypted access to
your account (which isn't even possible with FTP).
